Yiwu News, On September 17, the 2021 “Digital Intelligence Empowers, Creates and Enjoys the Future” China Yiwu Small Commodity Explosive Design Competition kicked off in the Creative Design College of Yiwu Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce. The competition is hosted by the Yiwu Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, undertaken by the Creative Design College of Yiwu Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce, specially supported by Yiwu Mould City, China Yiwu Industrial Design Center, Jumbo Engine Jinhua Local Direct Management Center, Shopping Mall Design Institute, Yiwu Creative Co-organized by the park, the goal is to launch a batch of original and innovative products in the field of small commodities and cultivate “single champions” in different types of product areas.
This year’s competition has two competitions: the product creative group and the product physical group. Participants in the product creation group are: domestic and international product design, industrial design and other related design majors, college students and teachers, design agencies, independent designers, design enthusiasts, etc.; product category participants are: small commodities, daily necessities, etc. Categories of companies, designers, design agencies, product samplers, design enthusiasts, etc.
The entries are mainly creative and innovative products of small commodities, including digital products, small household appliances, household daily necessities, stationery, department stores and other daily necessities. The product creative group is submitted in the form of renderings, and the product physical group is submitted in the form of physical objects and photos (three-view photos and product display photos). The design of the entries should have new ideas and adapt to current trends. The deadline for submission of works is 24:00 on October 10, 2021. The contest is divided into preliminary (expert audit + online voting) and final (product defense + online virtual crowdfunding).
One of the highlights of this competition is online virtual crowdfunding: 30 finalist products will be launched on the virtual crowdfunding platform at the same time, and each product will be marked with the sales price after mass production, and a product detail page will be produced. The crowdfunding plan is promoted through various platforms such as WeChat public account. After entering the crowdfunding page, if consumers have the intention to purchase a product, they click to participate in the crowdfunding. The “3+6” interactive defense mode was adopted in the finals (3 minutes of work presentation + 6 minutes of expert questions and answers).
This competition has 1 special prize: 20,000 yuan; 2 first prizes: 6,000 yuan; 2 second prizes: 3,000 yuan; 4 third prizes: 2,000 yuan. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners of this competition, and the winners will be organized to visit the small commodities area of Yiwu International Trade City, so that the contestants can experience the hot selling atmosphere of Yiwu small commodities. The excellent works produced in the competition will be shaped through product proofing and customization, and will be displayed on-site in professional markets such as Yiwu International Trade City and Yiwu Mould City.
